Cakemail Company History

Cakemail was founded in Montreal, Canada in 2007 by Steve Smith and François Lane. Originally, Cakemail was a private label email marketing solution aimed at providing agencies and value-added resellers with a fully white-labeled solution that was easy to integrate with existing product offerings and bundles. Subsequently, Cakemail was also made available directly to businesses under the Cakemail brand. Over the years, Cakemail has acquired the Canadian brand Courrielleur and the French brand Simple-Mail.
