ClickFunnels promises to make selling online quick and easy. That’s an attractive offer for lots of entrepreneurs. But since you’re reading this article, perhaps it hasn’t worked out quite as you hoped.
There are lots of reasons why people look for alternatives to ClickFunnels. It works well for certain types of products and services, but not others. It’s packed full of features but can be tricky to learn. And, importantly for smaller businesses, it’s expensive.
So what are the best alternatives? There are plenty of choices, and it depends on what your business needs. To save you time, I’ve put together this guide to the best ClickFunnels alternatives. I’ve used and reviewed 30+ sales and marketing platforms similar to ClickFunnels. So here’s my take on those that offer something better, and who they suit best.
What is Clickfunnels?
ClickFunnels is a popular sales funnel builder. It specializes in lead capture, nurturing and conversion tools. Its USP is making creating these sales funnels short, fast and easy. It even calls its flagship products ‘squeeze funnels’.
The idea is you build a landing page with a capture form. Then you offer an incentive to sign up. You can then sell directly to your new leads. There are tools for creating digital products and online courses. Or you can add them to contact lists for email marketing.
A lot of businesses love the stripped-back ClickFunnels approach. It has 100,000+ customers. It’s especially popular with consultants, coaches, educators and influencers.
For all its focus on speed and simplicity, ClickFunnels covers a lot of ground. Sales funnels, email marketing, customer relationship management, website building, sales and marketing automation. You can create courses, digital products and membership sites. Sometimes ‘squeezing’ everything together doesn’t work out. In some areas, it spreads all the features too thin.
The 10 Best ClickFunnels Alternatives Overview
I’ve picked out services that cover similar territory to ClickFunnels. But I’ve focused on those that offer a better experience for one reason or another. Here’s a summary of my top picks:

ActiveCampaign | Sales & Marketing Automation | Yes, 14 days | $15/mo
Hubspot | All-Round CRM | Yes | $20/mo
GetResponse | eCommerce Marketing | Yes | $13.30/mo
Brevo | Small Business Marketing | Yes | $9/mo
MailerLite | Affordable Email Marketing | Yes | $9/mo
Engagebay | Free CRM | Yes | $12.74/mo
Freshsales | CRM for Small Businesses | Yes | $11/mo
Zoho CRM | All-Round Business Software | Yes | $14/mo
Keap | CRM for Consultants | Yes, 14 days | $249/mo
Landingi | Landing Pages | Yes | $29/mo |
What’s wrong with ClickFunnels?
From a sales and marketing perspective, ClickFunnels covers most bases. But ‘squeezing’ everything into simple funnels leaves some tools feeling lightweight. And the UI can feel clunky and confusing at times.
From my experience using ClickFunnels, here’s my take on its main drawbacks.
- Confusing navigation: This is a common problem with software that is packed full of features. It’s difficult to find what you want. ClickFunnels 2.0 tries to get around this by making a lot of features available as optional ‘apps’. The idea is you only add what you want. But I found a lot of tools tricky to locate.
- High learning curve: Another consequence of ClickFunnels’ tangled navigation is it takes time to learn. Individual tools are generally easy to use. But it’s not an easy platform to pick up quickly overall.
- Limited email and no automation templates: ClickFunnels lets you build a lot of things. Websites, unlimited pages, sales funnels, broadcast emails, automation workflows. I’m a big fan of its drag-and-drop editing tools. But it doesn’t have enough pre-made templates for all tasks. It has plenty of funnel templates. But no automation templates at all. And just 37 email templates.
- Some features lack flexibility: ClickFunnels puts a lot of emphasis on lead capture. But you can only create sign-up forms embedded in a new landing page. There’s no option to put a form on an existing webpage.
- Few integrations: Connecting software helps you improve processes and work in more efficient ways. ClickFunnels only offers 20 direct integrations with other platforms. For anything else, you have to use its API. Which means you need developer know-how.
- It’s expensive: ClickFunnels’ entry price is $81 a month. It’s a high starting price for small businesses. And it charges extra for several features, like sending emails. Sending 1000 emails costs $0.675. This isn’t made clear in the advertised pricing. There is no free plan, just a 14-day free trial.
What to look for in a ClickFunnels alternative
If you’re looking for an alternative to ClickFunnels, you probably want a platform with the following core features:
- Lead capture
- Marketing and nurturing tools
- Sales pipelines and other CRM features.
You might also want automations to make sales and marketing easier. And in-depth analytics so you can monitor performance and make improvements.
I used these functionalities to pick out my best ClickFunnels alternatives. But there are also other qualities that the best sales and marketing software for SMEs share. To get the most from any ClickFunnels alternative, you should also prioritize:
- Ease of Use: User-friendly software with plenty of support resources will make your life easier. Look for platforms that minimize technical hurdles.
- Affordability: Judge value on what you get for your money, not just the lowest price. Simple, transparent plans will help you stick to your budget.
- Flexibility: Businesses change and grow over time. Aim for software that not only grows with you, but supports that growth.
- Personalization: Your customers expect to be treated like individuals. Pick apps that offer personalization, segmentation, tagging, and dynamic content.
- Integrations: Choose new apps that integrate easily with your tools to save time, money and effort.
- Support: Finally, reliable customer support is crucial for overcoming challenges and maximizing platform benefits.
There’s no single platform that makes the ideal ClickFunnels alternative for everyone. So in the following overviews, I highlight the unique features, the main pros and one or two cons. And to explain what type of user each service would suit best.
1. ActiveCampaign – Best for Sales & Marketing Automation
ActiveCampaign has evolved into one of the best all-in-one sales and marketing platforms. More than 180,000 customers worldwide trust it for marketing and sales automation
Automation is ActiveCampaign’s standout strength. It’s got one of the best workflow editors I’ve worked with. Customization is pretty much open-ended. You can build workflows with as many conditions and variables as you like. There’s a huge choice of triggers and actions, and you can connect workflows together. But the flexibility and sophistication are matched by how user-friendly it is. There are 900+ automation templates to help you. ClickFunnels has none.
Another key comparison versus ClickFunnels is the way ActiveCampaign links sales and marketing. ClickFunnels does this to a limited extent. Its funnels aim to move from lead capture to conversion quickly. ActiveCampaign can help sales and marketing teams work more closely in any business. Web tracking lets you trigger workflows based on what pages contacts visit. Lead scoring rates the best marketing prospects to funnel into sales pipelines. There are ‘sales engagement’ templates that guide you through all this.
It’s the same mostly positive story across ActiveCampaign’s main features. Its email builder is versatile and easy to use. You get 240+ ready-made templates to work with, compared to just 37 in ClickFunnels. Lead capture, analytics and segmentation are equally flexible and packed with choices. You can create and send transactional emails using ActiveCampaign Postmark. And you can connect ActiveCampaign directly with 900+ other platforms. Check out our full ActiveCampaign vs ClickFunnels review for a more detailed comparison.
ActiveCampaign Pros
- Advanced marketing automation
- Integrated marketing and sales functionality
- In-depth website tracking and lead scoring
- 900+ integrations
ActiveCampaign Cons
- ActiveCampaign’s more advanced features are mostly a strength. But it does mean there is a bit of a learning curve with some tools.
ActiveCampaign’s pricing starts at $15 per month for the Starter plan. This gives you email marketing and marketing automation tools, with 1000 contacts and 10,000 emails. Find out all the details in our full ActiveCampaign pricing guide. You can test ActiveCampaign with a 14-day free trial.
Active Campaign vs ClickFunnels Verdict: ActiveCampaign is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for improving sales and marketing efficiency. The choice and quality of its features suit ambitious growing businesses. Those with some experience of sales and marketing automation will get the most out of it.

2. HubSpot – Best for Customer Relationship Management
HubSpot is the CRM software of choice for more than 200,000 companies worldwide. Like ClickFunnels, its core promise is to help you to attract and engage customers. But HubSpot dwarfs ClickFunnels for its sheer number of tools and flexibility.
It ticks all the boxes for a sales & marketing platform. Lead generation, email campaigns, marketing automation. Sales pipelines, deals management, analytics. But that’s just the start. It has 6 ‘Hubs’ in total. Sales, Marketing and Service. Plus Commerce for B2B, Content for content creation and delivery. And the Operations Hub for data analytics and automation.
Hubspot’s modular design lets you mix and match tools in custom bundles. Or you can also choose the ‘all-in-one’ Customer Platform that has a bit of everything. There’s a smaller SME version of the Customer Platform. Plus a free CRM tier that offers basic tools from the product range. HubSpot also integrates with 1,200 third-party applications. Not sure if HubSpot is right for you? Check out our review of the best HubSpot alternatives for more similar tools.
HubSpot Pros
- The 6 Hubs cover most of what marketing, sales, and service teams need
- Most tools are user-friendly, you’ll quickly get the hang of it.
- The free plan has simple tools from all Hubs
- 1,500+ third-party integrations
HubSpot Cons
- I’d love to see higher send limits and more email templates.
- It gets expensive on plans above Starter.
HubSpot’s Customer Platform starts at $20/month/user for SMEs. But immediately leaps to over $1,000 a month for all higher plans with 5 seats. Check out our full HubSpot pricing guide for more details about how much it costs.
HubSpot vs ClickFunnels Verdict: HubSpot is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for larger businesses looking for a feature-rich, versatile CRM. Small businesses and solopreneurs can also kickstart their CRM journey with the free tier.

3. GetResponse – Best for eCommerce Marketing
GetResponse is more of a marketing platform than ClickFunnels. Its pricing tiers are designed to help businesses grow through different marketing stages. At the bottom is Email Marketing. It’s priced affordably for SMEs and is all about growing your audience with email campaigns.
Then comes Marketing Automation. This unlocks advanced event-based automation tools. The top tier is Ecommerce Marketing. This is for synching a web store to increase sales. It comes with sales-focused analytics and customer tracking. You can build and run promotions. And use tracking data to inform personalized product recommendations. You can also send transactional emails and display unlimited web push notifications. And, as with ClickFunnels, build and sell webinars.
In direct comparison versus ClickFunnels, there are a lot of similarities. GetResponse has recently launched a ‘Content Monetization’ plan. This is all about marketing and selling courses, very much ClickFunnels territory.
But GetResponse is much better if email marketing is your priority. It offers more support with email and automation workflow templates. You can build lead capture forms to embed on any page. You get a lot more integrations, 170+ versus ClickFunnels’ 19.
GetResponse is also the better choice to drive more sales from your web store. ClickFunnels includes ‘store funnels’ designed for selling products. GetResponse’s eCommerce integrations make it easy to get started.
GetResponse Pros
- Advanced marketing automation
- Affordable email marketing with 150+ templates
- Suitable for most companies from small businesses to enterprises
- 24/7 chat and email support
GetResponse Cons
- CRM features are on the basic side
GetResponse’s cheapest Email Marketing plan starts at $13.30 a month if you sign up for 2 years. This gives you 1,000 contacts and there is no email sending limit. There is a free plan that includes 2,500 emails a month. Read our full GetResponse pricing guide for the details about all GetResponse plans.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels Verdict: GetResponse is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for eCommerce businesses. It’s also cheap and user-friendly if you want to get started with email marketing.

4. Brevo – Best for Small Business Sales and Marketing
Brevo is an email marketing and CRM platform. In direct comparison vs ClickFunnels, its biggest USP is how affordable it is. It prices its sales and marketing platforms separately. But the combined entry price of both still works out cheaper than ClickFunnels. Brevo also has an excellent free tier that gives you access to basic email marketing and CRM tools.
Brevo started life as a specialist email marketing platform and it shows. The drag-and-drop email and automation workflow editors are very easy to use. You can mix and match SMS, WhatsApp messages and push notifications in your workflows. And set up the Messaging API to send multichannel transactional messages.
Brevo’s CRM tools are more basic but still solid. You can build sign-up forms and landing pages for lead capture. But there’s no direct route to making sales. You can customize pipelines to give a clear overview of your sales processes. Sales automation tools move deals through your pipelines to save time. And shared inboxes and meeting scheduling help teams to stay organized.
Brevo offers great customer support. Phone support is available even on lower plans. And you can submit email tickets and talk to a chatbot 24/7. It also comes with 150+ third-party integrations.
Brevo Pros
- Free email marketing and CRM
- Multichannel marketing and transactional messaging
- Sales and marketing automation
- User-friendly drag-and-drop email editor and automation workflow builder
Brevo Cons
- I’d like to see more email templates.
Brevo’s Marketing Platform starts at $9 per month. That includes 5,000 emails and 500 contacts. The Sales Platform starts at $12 per month per user. The free tier also gives you unlimited contacts and 300 emails a day. Check out all the prices and what’s included in each plan in our full Brevo pricing guide.
Brevo vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Brevo is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for SMEs, to combine sales and marketing. It’s very cheap and the free tier is one of the most generous around. Brevo is also easy to use.

5. MailerLite – Best for Affordable Email Marketing
MailerLite is an email marketing service with automation and lead generation. And like ClickFunnels, you can create and sell digital products. There’s also a website builder and tools to run a blog.
ClickFunnels’ email building and automation features are pretty good. But email marketing is an add-on to other things. And it’s expensive if all you want is a solid, reliable way to run a newsletter or send out promotions. MailerLite gives you everything you need, cheap.
MailerLite’s email editor is one of the most user-friendly I’ve come across. You get 90+ templates and 20 pre-designed ‘modules’ or email sections. These help you knock together a good-looking email in 5-10 minutes.
MailerLite’s automation workflow editor is also very user-friendly. And the tools are surprisingly advanced for the price. You get a good choice of triggers, including click tracking. You can also set multiple triggers for a single workflow. And use conditional logic to ‘split’ paths for different user actions, like email opens and clicks.
Other pluses include an outstanding free plan with very generous send limits. And there are 150+ direct integrations to other platforms. MailerLite focuses particularly on eCommerce integrations. So it’s a good choice for promoting a web store.
MailerLite Pros
- Affordable pricing, starting at $9/month
- The free plan is great for getting started with email marketing
- User-friendly email marketing and automation tools
- Strong landing page and website builder
MailerLite Cons
- While you can sell digital products on MailerLite, it doesn’t have CRM tools.
MailerLite’s prices start as little as $9 a month. This includes 3 users, unlimited emails and 500 contacts. The Free plan lets you have 1,000 contacts and send 12,000 emails a month. Find out what each plan includes and how much they cost in our MailerLite pricing guide.
MailerLite vs ClickFunnels Verdict: MailerLite is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for affordable but effective email marketing. Especially if you have digital products to sell and/or an existing web store.

6. EngageBay – Best Free CRM
EngageBay is an ‘all-in-one’ CRM platform. A little like HubSpot’s Hubs, it has separate ‘Bays’ for sales, marketing and customer service. Plus an ‘All-in-One Suite’ and a brilliant free tier.
Cost is the most obvious difference comparing EngageBay vs ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels is aimed at sales and marketing teams and is priced for multiple users. EngageBay is priced to suit microbusinesses, start-ups and solopreneurs with small contact lists. You can pay more to unlock more contacts and more features.
The trade-off for being so cheap is that the tools are a bit basic. But you can live with that for the simplicity and convenience. Especially if it’s for free. On EngageBay’s free tier, you can manage your customers, send emails, track sales deals, and handle customer questions. All from the same place, all with a simple, user-friendly interface. It’s perfect if you’re just starting out.
The main limit on the free tier is you can only have 250 contacts. On the cheapest paid-for tier, the number of contacts only goes up to 500. Which is still pretty limiting. But you unlock email templates. Tag management for segmenting your lists. Lead scoring for targeting who goes into the sales pipelines. Other features include social media tools, SMS marketing and third-party integrations.
EngageBay Pros
- Complete CRM suite available for free
- All-in-one marketing, sales and support platform
- Free live chat and help desk tools
- Free email validation
EngageBay Cons
- Some of the template designs are a bit outdated
Pricing for the full suite starts at $12.74 per user per month. This includes 500 contacts. Marketing and Sales ‘Bays’ prices start at $11.04/user/month. And Service Bay is free forever.
EngageBay vs ClickFunnels Verdict: EngageBay is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for start-ups and solopreneurs looking for free CRM.

7. Freshsales – Best CRM for Small Businesses
Freshsales is a user-friendly sales CRM. Core features include flexible pipelines and deal management. Sales-focused analytics and automation. And lots of different ways to manage and share customer data.
Freshsales has several points of difference versus ClickFunnels. One, its starting price is much lower. Two, its sales CRM features are much more comprehensive. ClickFunnels focuses on the basics of pipelines, which it does pretty well. Freshsales digs deeper into prospecting, account management, AI-powered lead scoring and multichannel engagement.
Freshsales is also part of the larger Freshworks business software family. There are tools for marketing, help desk management, IT support and chatbots. You combine sales and marketing with the Freshsales Suite. This comes with workflow templates for both marketing and sales process automation.
Multichannel communications include email, SMS, chatbots, Zoom, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. You can mix and match how you engage with leads across campaigns and pipelines.
Analytics are baked in across the platform through Freshwork’s ‘Freddy’ AI. Lead scoring includes intent and sentiment analysis. This means you can ‘read’ the likelihood to convert in hidden clues in language and behaviour. AI chatbots automatically analyze and feed information into the CRM.
Freshworks is also a high-quality service CRM. There are separate products for help desk, IT ticket support and chatbots. Check where we rank Freshsales in our review of the best CRM tools with email marketing.
Freshsales Pros
- Affordable, feature-rich sales CRM
- Multichannel communications including email, SMS, chatbots, and integrations with Zoom, WhatsApp and Messenger
- AI-powered prospecting and lead scoring
- Sales and marketing automation.
Freshsales Cons
- The crossover between various plans can be confusing
Freshsales plans start at $11/month. There is a 21-day free trial but no free plan for the sales CRM. You can, however, use Freshmarketer to send emails for free. But the free plan has only 100 contacts and 500 emails per month.
Freshsales vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Freshsales is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for small businesses looking for a good value sales CRM. The range and quality of its features are excellent for the price. And you can also add marketing and service tools. In some cases, for no extra cost.
8. Zoho CRM – Best for All-Round Business Software
One of ClickFunnels’ big attractions is how much you can do on a single platform. But it pales compared to how much Zoho covers.
Zoho CRM is just one product in a suite of 40+ business apps offered by Zoho. And just one of 9 apps listed as sales tools. If you can build a piece of software for a particular business process or function, Zoho offers it.
So there are two ways to look at Zoho CRM. One, as a standalone sales-focused CRM. And two, as part of this much larger business software ecosystem. Either way, it’s hard to do justice to how much you can do with Zoho. The CRM app alone is huge and ranks as one of the most feature-rich CRMs out there.
A highlight is the automation of lead, deal, and account management. You can map out customer journeys. Convert them into funnels and pipelines. And automate every step of engagement along the way. One standout of Zoho CRM is how customizable everything is. This includes Kiosk Studio, a no-code UI builder.
Zoho CRM also has a long list of performance analytics and reporting options. AI threads through many processes to forecast outcomes and make recommendations.
One anomaly of Zoho CRM is that its size and scale make it best suited to bigger businesses. But cost-wise, it remains attractively priced even for SMEs.
Zoho CRM Pros
- Lots of quality CRM tools
- The CRM is part of a big business software suite, including marketing, service, and finance
- Advanced AI for analytics and automation
Zoho CRM Cons
- Choice is a good thing. But Zoho offers so much choice, it’s hard to know which app or suite is best for you.
- Customer support is limited
Zoho CRM starts at $14 per user per month. There is a free tier that includes basic pipeline tools. All paid plans come with a 15-day free trial.
Zoho CRM vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Zoho CRM is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for larger businesses looking to unlock growth. But you need experience with advanced sales and marketing tools to get the best out of it.
Zoho CRM vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Zoho CRM is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for larger businesses looking to unlock growth. But you need experience with advanced sales and marketing tools to get the best out of it.
9. Keap – Best CRM for Consultants and Coaches
Keap positions itself as a sales and marketing CRM for small businesses. It’s very similar in a lot of ways to ClickFunnels. Both platforms have a lot to offer coaches, consultants, and online business owners.
With Keap, you get an equal split between sales and marketing tools. You can build and send email marketing campaigns using a familiar drag-and-drop editor. And there’s a similar drag-and-drop tool for creating and editing sales pipelines. Likewise, you can create automation workflows for both campaigns and deals management.
For lead capture, Keap includes landing page and sign-up form builders. One thing it has in common with ClickFunnels is the use of ‘lead magnets’. Or offering incentives to get people to sign up and share their details. You can also create and save lead magnet ‘blueprints’ to reuse. This is similar to the sales funnels in ClickFunnels.
You can’t build digital products like courses and e-guides in Keap. But it has checkout and payment processing tools to help you sell them and take payments. It also has invoicing features. This is a big benefit to anyone selling services to businesses.
Keap’s main strength versus ClickFunnels is that it appeals to more types of businesses. There are different ways to capture and nurture leads. For example, in Keap you can request reviews and referrals from existing customers. And appointment scheduling is two way. Both customers and your team can book appointments.
Keap Pros
- Sales and marketing automation
- Incentivised lead capture
- Automated review and referral requests
- Two-way appointment scheduling.
Keap Cons
- Although positioned for SMEs, Keap’s high pricing is a barrier to entry. Starting at $249/month.
Keap makes a virtue of having a single pricing tier that opens up the whole platform. It keeps things simple, sure. But that price is $249 a month for 2 users and 1500 contacts. So it’s expensive.
Keap vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Keap is the best alternative to ClickFunnels for consultants and coaches looking for a better choice of CRM tools.
10. Landingi – Best for Landing Pages
Most of the platforms I’ve picked for this list outperform ClickFunnels on some aspect of CRM. Or else sales and marketing automation and integration. But Landingi is different. It’s a specialist landing page builder.
You can make ‘general’ landing pages in ClickFunnels. But its focus is mostly on building lead capture pages as part of sales funnels. Most of its landing page templates have a form embedded. With Landingi, you can make landing pages for all purposes. The scope is much wider and you get more choice.
This starts with templates. Landingi has 400+ landing page templates to choose from. The designs are outstanding. They are organized by 15 different industries. And broken down into different purposes. You can search for different event, webinar or newsletter sign-up templates. There are page templates for downloading ebooks and coupons, or product sales pages.
Landingi also has more choices for the types of sign-up forms you can have on pages. In ClickFunnels, forms are mostly embedded. Landingi has 80+ pop-up form templates.
There’s not a lot to choose between Landingi vs ClickFunnels in terms of landing page builders. Both no-code editors are very intuitive to use and feature-rich. There’s plenty of support from pre-formatted elements and fully customizable templates. You don’t have to be experienced with web design to create impressive pages, quickly.
For me, Landingi has the edge on support and flexibility. It tailors building options for desktop, landing and microsite pages. Its Smart Sections feature is very clever, letting you customize reusable blocks. These can then be added to lots of pages automatically. This is a great way to keep designs fresh and consistent if handling large numbers of pages.
Landingi also uses generative AI tools to support content writing and SEO optimization. And its EventTracker tools provide in-depth analytics of every on-page interaction.
Landingi Pros
- 400+ fully customizable landing page templates
- Semi-automated bulk building
- AI content creation and SEO
- In-depth analytics
Landingi Cons
- Unlike ClickFunnels, you can’t build checkout pages in Landingi.
Landingi pricing starts at $29 a month. This allows you to build 10 pages a month with a total of 5,000 page visits. The Professional plan includes funnels and unlimited landing pages for $69/month. There’s a free plan that lets you build one page with 500 visits per month.
Landingi vs ClickFunnels Verdict: Landingi is the best alternative to ClickFunnels if you’re looking for more flexibility with landing pages.

ClickFunnels Alternatives: Which is the best?
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect. It takes a particular approach to sales funnels that suits coaches amd consultants. But its features can feel a little too ‘squeezed’ for everyone else. It’s not the easiest software to navigate. It comes with a learning curve. And it’s pricing isn’t ideal for small businesses. Including solopreneurs and start-ups.
The best advice when looking for ClickFunnels alternatives is this. Don’t narrow yourself down by searching for sales funnels. Look for customer relationship management or sales and marketing automation platforms instead. You’ll be able to build sales funnels with all of them. Here’s a recap of the best ClickFunnels alternatives:
