Bronto software company history
Founders Joe Colopy and Chaz Felix launched Bronto Software in 2002 out of Joe’s house. The company now employs more than 200 people worldwide, with offices in Durham, North Carolina, USA, London and Sydney.
Prior to launching Bronto, Joe Colopy worked as an online marketer for Red Hat, a teacher in the US Peace Corps (Seychelles Islands) and a software developer for the Harvard Business School. Chaz Felix worked as a business development manager for Red Hat, investment banking analyst at Bank of America and an analyst at Economic Analysis Group.
In 2015, Bronto entered into a new era with its acquisition by NetSuite (NYSE: N), the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials, ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites. With the completion of this acquisition, the industry’s leading commerce marketing system has been combined with the world’s No. 1 cloud-based omnichannel commerce platform.
