This week a new MTA platform called MailerQ was launched. MailerQ is available to download and send up to 10,000 emails per minute for free. This free or freemium model, to my knowledge, hasn’t been seen before and is almost sure to introduce a new dynamic into the world of delivery and MTA software.

Campaigner just recently launched their new platform called CampaignerCRM. Geared towards Small to Medium businesses, the CRM functionality should help increase the quality of leads, pushing more engaged prospects through the sales funnel to conversion. Or as they put it: increase volume, value and velocity.

Zoho, who we know from their online products like CRM, Project Management and Invoicing just released their newest addition to their suite called Zoho Campaigns. Reportedly the Zoho Suite already boosts an impressive base of over 6 million users.

This Wednesday the European email service provider eCircle was acquired by Teradata. E-circle, which was founded in 1999, is a privately held company with about and 400 employees and 1,000 customers. eCircle is set to merge with Teradata’s Aprimo unit.

Email marketing provider VerticalResponse has acquired social media start-up Roost. With the added functionality Vertical Response wants to let users “create, schedule, manage, and measure their social media marketing campaigns”. The email service provider has a focus on self-service marketing solutions for small businesses.
